Reggie Bush could miss time, but injury not thought to be serious

The 49ers were short-handed in the backfield, and face a short week after winning last night.

So they might not have running back Reggie Bush at their disposal this week against the Steelers, but he might not be out much longer.

According to Matt Maiocco of CSNBayArea.com, Bush’s calf injury which knocked him out of last night’s game isn’t believed to be serious.

Of course, they did pretty well without him, running for 230 yards in a physical win over the Vikings. Carlos Hyde had 26 carries for 168 yards and two touchdowns, looking every bit the kind of bell cow back Frank Gore was for so long.

Getting Bush back will obviously help things, even if it’s not this week.

  1. After all the 49ers went through in the off season if Tomsula takes this team this year to 8-8 he should be coach of the year. If they somehow get to the playoffs we should be checking to see if he really is Jesus. Because that would be an amazing miracle.
