Pile of something: Hurns says Panthers CB couldn’t poke him in eye

Rashad Greene, Allen Hurns

AP

Panthers cornerback Josh Norman admitted — in two separate interviews conducted roughly 48 hours apart — that he poked Jaguars wide receiver Allen Hurns in the eye while in a pile scrambling for a fumble.

Via Michael DiRocco of ESPN.com, Hurns told reporters Wednesday that would be impossible, since he wears a protective visor in his helmet to protect his eyes.

This leaves two possible alternatives. Either A) Norman has the longest fingers in the NFL or B) Norman is full of something that comes out of the opposite end of a bull from the eyes.

Why Norman would choose to promote himself as unsportsmanlike, dirty, or just foolish for advertising what everybody already assumes is happening down there is unclear.

But he did, two times, which now calls into question whatever else he says about the topic in the future. To tell the same lie two days apart indicates that you either believe it yourself or want everyone else to.
