The Bills took a 27-0 lead into halftime at Miami on Sunday afternoon, but not all the news for the team is good.

Wide receiver Sammy Watkins left the game in the first half with a calf injury and was initially called questionable to return to action. The team updated that after the half to reflect that Watkins would not return at all.

We probably won’t know how much time Watkins, who had one catch for 39 yards before getting hurt, will miss until he’s evaluated further after the game. Watkins had hip surgery in the offseason and missed time with a glute injury over the summer, although no one with the team was overly concerned about it at the time.

The Bills missed a field goal on their first possession of the second half and the Dolphins turned good field position into their first score of the afternoon. It’s now 27-8 Bills with just under three minutes to go in the third.
