Buccaneers running back Doug Martin has been off to a good start this season, and now he’s on his way to his best game yet.
Martin scored both of the Buccaneers’ touchdowns, one on the ground and one through the air, as Tampa Bay took a lead over Jacksonville into the locker room at halftime. He had 13 carries for 93 yards and two catches for 23 yards in the first half.
It’s been an impressive showing for Martin, who has broken tackles and showed off impressive speed. After two straight sub-par seasons, Martin now looks like the same promising player he was as a rookie in 2012.
The Buccaneers’ defense is also showing promise, and the Bucs lead 20-14 at halftime.
