Arizona Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians said Alex Okafor’s calf injury isn’t as bad as initially thought.

Arians joined Alex Marvez and Bill Polian on Sirius XM NFL Radio Tuesday night.

Arians said Okafor is now expected to miss 2-4 weeks. The Cardinals signed Dwight Freeney to add additional depth at linebacker during Okafor’s absence.

The team also placed safety Chris Clemons on injured reserve due to a hamstring injury on Tuesday.

Clemons appeared in all fives games for the Cardinals this season while serving in a key special teams role for the team.

Arizona signed Clemons last December when Andre Ellington was placed on injured reserve.
