Julian Edelman’s Torry Holt-finger seems to be an issue

AP

Julian Edelman may have had finger problems in the past, but it’s clearly an issue tonight.

Since the Patriots receiver got his hand caught between two Colts while catching a touchdown pass earlier in the game, he hasn’t been the same player.

Edelman has dropped three passes since cameras caught his sideways digit, including the one which Mike Adams just picked off and returned for a touchdown.

It’s not quite Torry Holt’s deformed middle finger, but it’s a mess.

According to Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald, this isn’t exactly a new thing. But it’s keeping Edelman from being himself, and that’s an issue for the Patriots in the passing game.

  1. ANYBODY THAT THINKS THE PATRIOTS DON’T GET SPECIAL TREATMENT BY THE NFL IS SADLY MISTAKEN! THE COLTS RECOVERED THAT BALL!!!!!!! GOODELL AND KRAFT ARE STILL B___ BUDDIES!

  2. It doesn’t matter. The refs seem intent on botching everything in this game in the Patriots’ favor. Moncrief CLEARLY got that ball. Not to mention the fact that they screwed up saying which team actually recovered the ball. What a joke.

  3. I am so embarrassed by the fact this team calls themselves patriots.
The way they cheat and act they can’t be any farther away from a true patriot.
They should consider changing to NE weasels or snakes or something more fitting!

Boy I sure hope the real “Judgement Day” is this uneventful. Can we at least get some more lame banner jokes pats fans?

The one thing a Pats fan has to listen to a ponies fan about is lame banners, you guys are the experts on those

  5. The sportsbro gets to be extra butt hurt, because the ‘unbeatable at home’ seachickens blew another game today. No playoffs this year for the faux dynasty. In about 90 minutes he’s gonna be wrong again. As always.

  6. So much for the seachicken dynasty. No playoffs for them. Now their butthurt fans can spend the rest of the season hoping the Pats lose a game.

  7. You mean the same Julian Edelman, who, unlike a certain QB whom Patriots fans have no prob calling a “rapist”, HAS actually been both arrested and charged with the crime of sexual assault?

You’ve got some nerve throwing your stones from such a big glass house you hypocrites.

Whoa there little pony! The problem with that story is that Edelman was innocent. You know…that thing where you did not do what you were accused of?

Edelman was not arrested, the club had video of the whole incident, he barely noticed the girl as he walked by her in a club. It was all on video and no charges were ever filed.

My only regret is that the Pats don’t get to play the hornheads this year. Not in the regular season and certainly not in the playoffs.

The original patriots, you know the guys who are the reason you don’t see Queen Elizabeth on your coins, beat the Brits with guerilla warfare. They probably went home crying about cheating as well.

    Patriots are a joke

    —-
That’s UNDEFEATED joke to you pal.

You are a vikings fan, now that’s a joke and a punchline.

See you in the playoffs, of wait, no we won’t 🙂

Yeah, that PI call on Chandler proves it as well as the no call on helmet to helmet on Edelman on the TD pass.

Only in your dreams did the Colts recover that ball. The refs were in the pile and you saw nothing, absolutely nothing that changes that. A colt popping out of the pile with the ball after the play is dead means nothing.

So you and Chrissy can share a crying towel. And be glad the Pats shut down the offense near the end. The close game made the victory more delicious.

  13. The only championship indy is going to see is the Indianapolis 500. Enough with this whining. Cry to espn. They may do an investigative report on how the other nfl teams have treated you.
Coming from a non patriot by the way.

  14. Edelman had trouble with the injured finger initially, but he fielded punts after and even made a really good catch, so with a week to practice and get used to a different feel on making catches, he should probably be fine.
