The Titans are having tests done on quarterback Marcus Mariota’s knee to determine if he’s going to miss time after hurting his knee in Sunday’s loss to the Dolphins.

Whenever Mariota does return to the field, he’ll be taking snaps from a different starting center. Brian Schwenke left the field on the back of a cart after getting hurt during the game and he won’t be back before the start of next season. Schwenke will be placed on injured reserve after being diagnosed with a dislocated ankle.

“That guy is awesome,” left tackle Taylor Lewan said, via the team’s website. “He is a great friend of mine on the team; I love that guy. I saw what happened, I saw the injury, and that is nothing you want to see and that messes you up mentally when you are out there. That hurt. My heart goes out to him and his wife, his family. I just hope for a speedy recovery. But that’s this game. That could have happened to me today.”

Rookie Andy Gallik replaced Schwenke against Miami and will likely continue in that role in Week Seven and beyond.
