More details from single car accident involving Seahawks Fred Jackson

Golfhack1396

Seattle Seahawks running back Fred Jackson crashed a black 2016 Chevrolet Corvette through a stop sign while leaving the team practice facility on Tuesday afternoon.

The incident occurred at 4:49 p.m. PT at the intersection of Seahawks Way and Lake Washington Boulevard just south of the Virginia Mason Athletic Center. After crashing through the pole at the corner of the intersection, Jackson’s vehicle came to rest with the sign embedded in the front. The sign was later removed when the car was taken from the scene by tow truck.

A team source said Jackson was uninjured in the accident and was taken back to the team’s facility after speaking with police at the scene. Several teammates, including Richard Sherman and Marshawn Lynch, stopped to check on Jackson before leaving the accident site.

Initial reports of the accident claimed that Jackson and Lynch were racing their vehicles when the accident happened. The Renton Police Department said there is no indication that is what occurred.

Renton Public Information Officer David Leibman said if Jackson is to be cited for the incident it would be for inattention to driving, which is a minor offense.
