Gurley will play without knee brace

Rams rookie running back Todd Gurley has posted consecutive big games, and he should be fresh for a favorable matchup Sunday as the Rams didn’t play last weekend.

Gurley will run Sunday with less restriction, too. Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Gurley will play against the Browns Sunday without the protective brace he’s been wearing on the left knee that was surgically repaired last November after he tore his ACL.

Gurley has run for 305 yards in his last two games. What’s scary for the Browns and future Rams opponents is that Rams coach Jeff Fisher has said Gurley is not 100 percent. Gurley has disagreed, and his ditching the brace says he’s ready to roll.

The Browns have the league’s lowest-ranked run defense.

Gurley first ditched the brace in practice three weeks ago.
