It seems like the only thing the Bills lacked in the swagger department this offseason was a good Oklahoma drill.
But it apparently wasn’t for a lack of trying.
Vai Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald, Bills head coach Rex Ryan said on a conference call that the Dolphins blocked his attempt to bring then-tight ends coach Dan Campbell onto his staff, refusing permission to interview him.
The Dolphins clearly liked Campbell, they made him interim coach upon firing Joe Philbin.
But given the fire Campbell showed in his early days in charge in Miami, it seems like it would have been a natural fit.
Ryan joked that he thought he could take most NFL coaches, but “I ain’t whipping that one.”
As loud and proud as Ryan has been since taking over in Buffalo, one can only imagine the influx of testosterone Campbell would have brought.
