Cowboys have no comment on Hardy photos

AP

The Cowboys typically have something to say, about pretty much everything. When it comes to the photos that emerged on Friday from the Greg Hardy criminal case, the Cowboys have nothing to say.

“We don’t have a comment at this time,” Cowboys spokesman Rich Dalrymple told PFT.

It’s not known whether the Cowboys actually saw the photos. One source told PFT that the Cowboys had access to them; another source told PFT that the photos were under seal at the time Hardy was signed.

If the latter is true, it could mean that the Cowboys will revisit their position on signing Hardy. For now, with the Cowboys not commenting, no one knows whether that will happen.

Here’s one thing we do know — the Cowboys can say “no comment” for now, but that won’t stop folks like Jerry Jones, Stephen Jones, and Jason Garrett from being questioned about it by reporters, repeatedly.

  1. With these leadership qualities that are seemingly sought out for by this organization, it does not take a genius to determine why is there perpetual dysfunction in Dallas.

  2. Nothing they should need to say.
    1) Did enough that Holder doesn’t seem to care anymore
    2) Did enough that law enforcement doesn’t care
    3) Did enough that the NFL doesn’t care

The only people that care also think Bruce Jenner is a hero.

  3. It feels good to cheer for a franchise that doesn’t welcome human piles of excrement.

I hope the Cowboys and their pursuit of a title continues to come up empty handed at least until the time their current garbage owner and his sons are no longer involved with the organization.

  4. The Cowboys saw these just like Goodell saw (and lied about not seeing) the Ray Rice video. The NFL chose NOT to appeal this case, but chose TO apes the Brady case. This just shows how little Goodell cares about domestic abuse.

  6. Punishment for crimes should come from a court of law. If the victim has no interest in pursuing charges, then I see no reasons why the Cowboys should.

  7. Successful by-pass of this issue will be a bigger hit for Dallas’s spin doctors than “Jimmy Olsen Blues” was to the Band (Spin Doctors). Just sayin’.

The most galling fact of the story (for me) is that his record shall be expunged (i.e. it never happened). I’m all for second chances or even third. This instance flies in the face of the notion, “throw the dog a bone”.

  8. Well given Jerry’s past handling and reasoning of this mess, his first comments will be something like this:
He’ll be making Hardy the captain of the defense, announcing that they’ll be offering Hardy a long term contract worth up to $300 million and that they’ll be putting Hardy in the ring of honor effective immediately.

  9. “Punishment for crimes should come from a court of law. “. I generally agree with this statement, but in this case, 2 wrongs don’t make a right. Beating somebody up is against the law, the fact the chargers aren’t pressed doesn’t make it right. While it might be harder to prove with an uncooperative victim, it doesn’t change the fact that the law was broken.

  10. I knew once the charges were dropped from this mans record all the haters would come out for a party! We will sign this FOOTBALL Player long term. If we dont I will guarantee you half the league will want him! Not saying nothin happened but its in the past, and the man was cleared in our court system. ALL Charges have been dropped. But of course today Our liberal politically correct government and its followers like to put the focus on anything and everything to take the focus off their own agendas! Amazing how these photos magically show up within 24 hours of this man being cleared!!

It means you were born without a Y chromosome or that over the years your Y has been bent so much it resembles an X.

  12. Jerry’s only comment: “Please continue to go after Tom Brady and that four game suspension.”

Jerry, please continue to support Hardy. You have no credibility.

  13. But gals… we wore pink accessories in October! That proves we’re sensitive, right? Right??

  14. Does any of this really matter.
They knew what you were getting when you bought the goods.

The Vikings retained a child abuser and even gave him a raise, even though we all saw the sickening pictures of his crime beforehand.

Talent trumps everything sadly, I wish teams could show some restraint in signing these goons, the restraint their employees obviously don’t have for their innocent victims.

  15. You get what you pay for. Should’ve found a way to keep demarcus ware. The cowboys have replaced his leadership and ability with the kracken. Look where both teams and defenses are now.

Hilarious that any other time Jerrah Jones is the cowgurls “spokesman” but now he wants to lay low. As for the “photos being under seal at the time the cowgurls signed Hardy”…. Give me a break, I was born at night but it wasn’t last night.

You would probably have to listen to neo-con AM radio all day to understand. Then you could post on any political thread on here how it’s all the Lib’s fault.
