Perfect QB rating nets Cousins NFC honor

Four touchdown passes and a perfect passer rating in last weekend’s romp of the Saints made Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins the NFC Offensive Player of the Week, the NFL announced Wednesday.

Going 20-of-25 for 324 yards netted Cousins that perfect 158.3 rating and his second player of the week award. He also won in Week 7 this season.

Cousins was so good that Saints defensive coordinator Rob Ryan got fired the next day.

Cousins gave the game ball to his father, Don, who was attending his first game this season. Don Cousins is battling cancer.
