With linebacker Bruce Irvin out for Sunday’s game against the 49ers and with running back Marshawn Lynch expected to play, the Seahawks have tinkered with the roster as a reflection of their needs.

The team has announced that linebacker Eric Pinkins has been elevated from the practice squad, and that running back Bryce Brown has been released.

The Seahawks signed Bryce Brown on October 27, but he appeared in no games with Seattle. He’ll now be subject to waivers.

Brown gained 564 rushing yards as a rookie with the Eagles in 2012. He added 314 in 2013; last year with the Bills, Brown 126 yards in seven games.
