As the Denver Broncos try to turn a 10-2 start into a playoff bye, they are doing everything they can to be ready to improve the team if need be.

On Tuesday, they tried out a whopping 17 free agents for possible addition to the team.

Getting tryouts were: defensive backs Stevie Brown, Deveron Carr, Chris Clemons, Antoine Lewis, B.J. Lowery, Mike McMillan, Jeromy Miles, Schon Thomas, and Tyrequek Zimerman; linebackers Deron Bruce, Henry Coley, Aaron Davis, Adrian Hubbard, and Kevin Snyder; defensive tackles Davon Coleman and Kamal Johnson; and defensive end Ray Drew.

The 17-man, all-defensive tryout comes one week after the Broncos tried out 16 offensive players.

  1. And New England will be fully healthy come January. Just a hunch, but I think the rest of the fans of The AFC have written The Patriots off, and I don’t think that’s very wise.

  2. Why would anybody write the Patriots off? They have, hands down, the best HC in the business.

They also have a pretty good QB, even if he tends to be a cheating, pouting girly-man, who cries when he gets hit.

  3. It’s called scouting for future/reserve contract players and they do it every year. Wouldn’t want to lose two starters and jeopardize the abilities of the team.

what are you even talking about? New England is probably still the favorite in the AFC. Edelman and Gronk wont be out forever, and everyone knows that.
