Bengals will play without Eifert, Iloka Sunday

As expected, the Bengals will play without tight end Tyler Eifert in San Francisco Sunday. Eifert left last week’s loss to the Steelers due a concussion and did not return.

The Bengals also listed quarterback Andy Dalton (thumb), safety George Iloka (groin) and rookie tackle Jake Fisher (concussion) as out on their Friday injury report. A.J. McCarron will make his first NFL start in place of Dalton.

With 12, Eifert shares the NFL lead in touchdown receptions with Allen Robinson and Odell Beckham Jr. Rookie Tyler Kroft started when Eifert missed the Dec. 6 game in Cleveland due to a stinger.

The Bengals list no one as questionable or doubtful, meaning cornerback Adam Jones likely returns from a one-game absence caused by a lingering foot injury. Cornerback depth has been an issue since Darqueze Dennard was lost for the season to shoulder injury in November.
