If the Colts want to try to stay in the AFC South race, they’re going to have to do it without Andrew Luck for at least another week.
Via Mike Chappel of IndySportsCentral.com, Colts coach Chuck Pagano said Luck will not play this week at Miami.
It’s not a surprise, as Luck recovers from a lacerated kidney, but it does keep the Colts in a tough position as they try to salvage something of a season gone awry. Pagano said he’d hold out the chance Luck could play in the regular season finale if he’s able to see him practice,
With 40-year-old backup Matt Hasselbeck “beat up from the feet up” in Pagano’s words, it might come down to Charlie Whitehurst at some point.
