Once the news broke that the Eagles had fired coach Chip Kelly, it made sense to periodically check the Twitter pages of former Eagles running back LeSean McCoy and former Eagles receiver DeSean Jackson. And something nearly as surprising as Kelly’s termination happened.
Neither McCoy nor Jackson have had anything to say.
That will likely change on Wednesday, when they show up for work and the locker room opens to reporters. And even if they each try to say nothing, chances are one of them will say something.
Jackson faced Kelly and the Eagles in Philly over the weekend, and he expressed concern that the fans there booed him for the decision that Kelly made. He made the same decision a year later as to McCoy, and both players remain clearly bitter.
Which means that, regardless of what they say or don’t say on Wednesday, they find Tuesday night’s developments sweet.
