When running back DeAngelo Williams was ruled out for Wild Card weekend, word was that he’d have a chance to rejoin the Steelers’ lineup for the divisional round if they beat the Bengals.

The Steelers did beat the Bengals on Saturday night and Williams is reportedly getting another opinion on what’s been called either a foot or ankle injury on Monday. Jim Trotter of ESPN reports that Williams is visiting with Dr. Robert Anderson, the foot specialist who has also seen Drew Brees and Peyton Manning as they’ve dealt with torn plantar fascias this season.

Williams’ status for Sunday’s game against the Broncos is still uncertain, per Trotter, but going for a second opinion isn’t a big confidence builder for his chances of playing.

Fitzgerald Toussaint and Jordan Todman filled in well for Williams in the win over Cincinnati. Toussaint had 58 rushing yards and 60 receiving yards while Todman ran for 65 yards on 11 carries.
