After the Patriots placed linebacker Jerod Mayo on injured reserve, the AFC finalists had an open roster spot. Four days later, they’ve filled it.

The team has announced that linebacker Kevin Snyder has been elevated from the practice squad to the 53-man roster.

Snyder, yet another former Rutgers player who made his way to Bill Belichick’s team, signed with the Lions as an undrafted free agent in 2015. He landed on IR, was released in October, spent time on the 49ers practice squad, and then joined New England’s practice squad last month.
