The 49ers officially announced 15 members of Chip Kelly’s coaching staff Wednesday.

As previously reported, former Browns defensive coordinator Jim O’Neil will be the defensive coordinator. Curtis Modkins was Kelly’s choice for offensive coordinator last week and left his job as Lions running backs coach.

Also announced Wednesday were Bob Bicknell, wide receivers coach; Ryan Day, quarterbacks coach; Jeff Nixon, tight ends coach; Tom Rathman, running backs coach; Pat Flaherty, offensive line coach; Eric Wolford, assistant offensive line coach; Mick Lombardi, offensive quality control coach; Jerry Azzinaro, defensive line coach; Jeff Hafley, defensive backs coach; Hardy Nickerson, inside linebackers coach; Jason Tarver, outside linebackers coach; Derius Swinton II, special teams coordinator, and Michael Clay, assistant special teams coach.

Hafley follows O’Neil from the Browns. Rathman, Tarver, Lombardi and Wolford are holdovers from the previous 49ers staff, while Azzinaro, Clay and Bicknell worked under Kelly with the Eagles last season.
