The Chargers are still talking to the Rams about eventually joining them in Inglewood. But if they move, they’re still going to need a place to play before KroenkeWorld is built.
According to Nathan Fenno of the Los Angeles Times, the L.A. Memorial Coliseum Commission is meeting today, to consider amending its lease with USC to allow two pro teams to play there.
As currently written, their lease is good for one NFL team to share the field with the Trojans, but plopping the Rams and the Chargers there would add 20 games of inventory.
The commission isn’t expected to vote on the matter today, but the approval is important as they’d need homes for three seasons, until the new building in Inglewood is ready to host in 2019.
