The Cardinals entered the offseason with two exclusive rights free agent tight ends on their roster and that number has dropped to one.

The team announced that they have re-signed Darren Fells to a one-year deal. That leaves Ifeanyi Momah as their other exclusive rights free agent, which means he can’t sign with another team unless the Cardinals pass on the chance to keep him. Jermaine Gresham is set to be a traditional free agent.

Fells joined Arizona as a practice squad player in 2013 and has played 24 games with the team over the last two seasons. He had 21 catches for 311 yards and three touchdowns during the regular season. He had four catches for 50 yards and a touchdown in the postseason.

The Cardinals also announced that they have signed defensive back Shaun Prater. Prater has bounced around the league since being drafted by the Bengals in the fifth round of the 2012 draft. He played one game each for the Colts and Vikings in 2015 and spent a week with the Broncos without appearing in a game.
