Linebacker Chad Greenway wants to play one more season and retire with the Minnesota Vikings.

Greenway, who will be an unrestricted free agent with the beginning of the new league year in March, told Alex Marvez and Phil Savage on Sirius XM NFL Radio that he feels he has one year of football left and wants to finish his career in Minnesota.

“I have one more year of football in me,” Greenway said.

“A goal of mine was to play in one place for my whole career. I want to finish here. The biggest thing is the product I’m putting on the field and continuing to do so at a high level.”

Greenway’s role was reduced a bit last season. He came off the field regularly in passing situations, deferring to the younger, more athletic Eric Kendricks and Anthony Barr instead in nickel situations. He still started 12 of 16 games for the Vikings, but recorded his lowest tackle output of his career with 68 tackles on the season.
