As a 1997 Heisman finalist continues to ponder whether he’ll retire, the guy who won the trophy that year already has moved on to his next job.
ESPN has announced that Charles Woodson has joined the company as an NFL analyst. He will participate in Sunday NFL Countdown and Monday Night Countdown.
It’s believed Woodson will be replacing Keyshawn Johnson on both shows. ESPN has not yet announced that Johnson will be departing. SI.com has reported that Johnson’s expiring contract won’t be renewed.
Industry insiders believe more changes are coming to ESPN’s NFL coverage, with fixtures like Chris Berman and Mike Ditka possibly out after 2016.
