Dave Caldwell has managed to convince a former colleague to join him in the Jacksonville Jaguars front office.

The Jaguars announced that they have hired DeJuan Polk to serve as the team’s assistant director of pro personnel.

Caldwell and Polk worked together with the Atlanta Falcons, where Polk has spent the 10 years in several roles. Last season he served as the Falcons’ pro personnel coordinator.

“I had the pleasure of working with DeJuan in Atlanta from 2008-2012 and know firsthand what he can bring to an organization,” Caldwell said in a statement. “As a former player and coach, he has a unique eye for talent and will be a valuable asset for our personnel department.”

Polk played defensive tackle for Clemson from 1999-2003. He spent a year coaching defensive tackles at South Carolina before joining the Falcons front office in 2006.
