After signing Mario Williams and turning Olivier Vernon back into the market, the Dolphins are still looking for defensive end depth.

According to Jason La Canfora of CBSSports.com, the Dolphins have scheduled visits with Giants defensive end Robert Ayers and Lions defensive end Jason Jones.

Ayers is also dropping by to see the Buccaneers while he’s in the neighborhood, so there’s demand for him.

Both Ayers (30) and Jones (29) are solid pieces, who can play multiple positions across the front. But neither have the kind of upside in terms of sack production. Ayers had a career-high 9.0 last year, while Jones has never had more than 5.0 in his eight NFL seasons.
