The Redskins have signed punter Tress Way to a five-year contract.

Way won the job in 2014 and has averaged 46.8 yards per punt in two seasons. His 47.5 yard average in 2014 was best in the NFL.

Way, 25, is a left-footed punter who played collegiately at Oklahoma. He was an exclusive rights free agent, and the long-term extension is a vote of confidence from the team.
