Zach Miller scheduled to visit Rams on Sunday

There’s been some talk about the Bears trying to trade tight end Martellus Bennett this offseason, something that would leave them without either of their top two tight ends from last season should Zach Miller depart as a free agent.

Miller hasn’t done that, but he’s scheduled for a visit to another team on Sunday. According to multiple reports, Miller will meet with the Rams.

Miller had 34 catches, 439 yards and five touchdowns while starting 14 games for the Bears last season. It was his first regular season action since the 2011 season after injuries kept him on injured reserve in both 2012 and 2014. Miller’s most productive outing of the year -- five catches, 107 yards, two touchdowns -- came against the Rams, which probably doesn’t hurt their opinion of his abilities.

The Rams released Jared Cook before the start of free agency, leaving them without their top pass catcher at the position from the 2015 season. Lance Kendricks and Cory Harkey are under contract in L.A. for 2016.
