The Texans on Monday announced that they’ve reached a new deal with restricted free agent cornerback A.J. Bouye.

Bouye has played in 35 games over the past three seasons, making eight starts. He has five career interceptions, one for a touchdown, and also has a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. He played in 15 games and made two starts last season.

Bouye, 24, broke into the league as undrafted rookie in 2013 out of Central Florida. The Texans have made no outside additions to their secondary this offseason, so Bouye should again be in the mix for playing time at cornerback and on special teams.
