Some April Fool’s Day jokes are hilarious. Some aren’t.
As to the aren’t, here’s Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell’s effort at levity: “It’s been a great run Steeler Nation, I will always have love 4 all my former teammates, coaches, & for all my fans! but gotta move on!”
Bell has not yet posted the perfunctory “April Fool’s!” follow up. But it’s surely coming.
Meanwhile, nearly 300 people have retweeted the message. And there’s a chance that a significant percentage of those people: (1) don’t realize it’s a joke; and (2) will never see the follow-up.
Here’s hoping that 11 of them are in my fantasy football league.
