Although Bills running back LeSean McCoy will not face charges for a bar fight he was involved in, that doesn't mean he won't be punished by the NFL with either a fine or a suspension.

Bills running back LeSean McCoy will reportedly not face charges in connection with a bar fight in Philadelphia.

The Philadelphia legal blog BigTrial.net was the first of multiple outlets to report that prosecutors have decided not to file any charges.

McCoy and former NFL running back Curtis Brinkley were accused of involvement in a fight that ended with two off-duty police officers being hospitalized.

The mayor of Philadelphia and the president of the Fraternal Order of Police have both said they believe McCoy should be charged. A cell phone video of the incident has been published, although it’s not clear enough to tell precisely what happened.

It’s still possible that McCoy could be disciplined by the NFL. Since the NFL uses a much lower standard than the criminal justice system does, it’s too early to know whether McCoy is in the clear.
