The Falcons are expected to add a piece to their defense in the first round of the draft and they met with UCLA linebacker Myles Jack this week as part of their pre-draft process.
There aren’t many people who think that Jack will be on the board when the 17th pick of the first round comes along, however, so the Falcons have to keep eyes on a wide range of options. One option played his college ball nearby and will be in for a meeting on Friday.
D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal Constitution reports that Georgia linebacker Leonard Floyd will be visiting with the Falcons. Floyd saw time as an edge rusher with the Bulldogs, but also displayed an ability to handle other responsibilities during his college career.
Due to food poisoning, Floyd couldn’t hold down his recent meals during his pro day workout and it had to be cut short. That hasn’t appeared to hurt his standing as a likely first-round pick and he may not have to move far if the Falcons like what they see and hear.
