Finally, the announcement of the pending announcement of the announcement.

League spokesman Brian McCarthy just tweeted out news that the 2016 NFL schedule has been completed, and that we should stay tuned to find out when it would be announced.

The fact that the placing in order of items we already know are coming has become a news event aside, things are slow now, so the herald of sort-of-news has become news.

The middle of next week seems like a safe bet — I mean, it’s not a PED suspension or something you want to hide on a Friday afternoon. But stay tuned, because soon we’ll all find out when we’ll all find out.

  1. I can’t wait to see the Patriots’ schedule.

I’m willing to bet that with Brady still facing the possibility of a four game suspension, the league will front load the Pats’ toughest games at the beginning of the season.

  2. Give me a break….Pats will get their usual favorable schedule when they get a late bye and 4-5 of their last 8 games at home in November and December! !!! The league caters to your Patriots fools!

  3. Why would the league front load it ? They didn’t last year.
Convenient how Pats forget that. If the league was screwing the Patriots over on schedule Tenessee would have been nowhere near. The Broncos would have been much more likely.

  4. @skleech22 You mean like last year, when the Patriots had the earliest possible bye week (week 4)? And where 5 of their last 8 games were on the road?

    Get a clue…

  5. I’ll try posting again.

Since the 1994 season there as been 1 bye week. That’s 22 seasons total. If a team has a bye in week 9, then they play half their games before the bye, and half after. In those 22 seasons that Pats have had:

    week 3 byes = 1
    week 4 byes = 4
    week 5 byes = 3
    week 6 byes = 1
    week 7 byes = 3
    week 8 byes = 2
    week 9 byes = 3
    week 10 byes = 4
    week 16 byes = 1

That’s 14 byes BEFORE the midpoint of the season.

  6. The Pats will be favored, the Pats will be screwed, the Raiders will be screwed… Give it a rest folks, the dates are only $cheduled with one thing in mind

Listen to Pats fans. Already making excuses for missing the playoffs next year…

That gives a whole new meaning to the term fantasy football.

  8. Cheater Brady is NOT gonna get suspended!!! If it was gonna happen it would have already!!! FORGET IT ALREADY!!! Right now Goodell is too busy sending teams to play in countries that really don’t care about American football to get the schedule released or Brady’s suspension!!!

  9. All I’m looking for is confirmation that we’ll get a seemingly inevitable week four prime-time match-up between the Bengals and Steelers, hopefully with a better officiating crew.

This league favors Dallas and new England!!!!

The league favors profit, it is the only thing that drives the $chedule
Please just back away from the tin foil
