Cardinals, Dolphins, Texans, Bills will watch Deflategate proceedings closely

Tom Brady

AP

You can be forgiven at this point if you think you’ve heard enough about Deflategate to last a lifetime. But you’re not done hearing about it.

The NFL is still fighting for the right to suspend Tom Brady. And if the NFL ultimately prevails in court, Brady could be suspended for the first four games of the 2016 season.

If that happens, it’s good news for the Cardinals, Dolphins, Texans and Bills. Those are the first four opponents on the Patriots’ schedule, which was announced tonight.

It remains unclear whether the NFL will win in court, and also unclear whether the NFL will actually go through with suspending Brady if it does win in court. But Deflategate isn’t over yet, and it may end up benefiting the Patriots’ first four opponents.
