With the Chargers effectively on the clock in the 2016 NFL Draft, they have a chance to add a big piece to their roster.
But they made sure to hang onto another big piece Friday.
According to Albert Breer of the NFL Network, the Chargers have picked up the fifth-year option on offensive lineman D.J. Fluker.
Fluker, the 11th overall pick in 2013, has settled in as a guard. While the early hopes were that he could be a franchise tackle, he’s still a solid piece for a team which has a chance to take any non-quarterback they want.
