A story about the arrival of Storm Johnson in Tampa Bay is neither about a young meteorologist from a small-market affiliate getting a shot at the big time nor a promotion for the local Arena League team.

The Buccaneers announced they had signed running back Storm Johnson, giving them some depth in the backfield prior to the draft.

A former seventh-round pick of the Jaguars, Johnson played in six games in 2014, but was cut last year in the preseason.

He played at nearby Central Florida, after initially signing with the University of Miami.
