Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib has been released from a Dallas hospital after he was shot Saturday night, NFL Network’s Jeff Darlington reported Sunday.

Rebecca Lopez of WFAA TV in Dallas reported that Talib was shot after a fight in V Live, a Dallas night club, and that Talib was taken to Medical City Hospital.

Darlington reported and others have confirmed that Talib was released from the emergency room on Sunday.

Mike Klis of News 9 in Denver reported that Talib has a minor leg injury as a result of the shooting and that the Broncos have been in touch with Talib and are working to uncover new information on the incident.

Talib, 30, has played the last two seasons with the Broncos.

  1. Why can’t these players now a days stay out of trouble. Such an embarrassment to the sport. I believe if you are making millions and have hundreds of thousands little kids looking up to you and idolizing you, well then you can stay out situations like this and be a good role model. It’s not like that have to do it for forever because they are only in the NFL for 10 years the ones that stay on the straight and narrow usually last longer. But come on man grow up.

  2. This is shocking! I’m sure Aqib didn’t ask for this. He was probably just sitting in the club dressed conservatively likely discussing charity work with only one other like minded friend. Then somebody just randomly shot him. No way would Aqib Talib draw unwanted attention to himself!

  3. It’s always fun and games until someone ends up in the emergency room. Please spare the ‘typical (insert team here’ comments. Not one of us is ever more than a headline away from having them leveled at a player on the team we root for. Looking forward to hearing him talk about though, guy is hysterical to listen to

  4. Ah yes, the usual club shooting. One of a handful of reasons i don’t go to them.

  5. If I could get these guys to understand anything, it would be this: just wait. When you retire in your mid 30s, you can do anything. Drive drunk, smoke all the weed you can get your hands on, go out every night and get shot if that’s you thing. Play it straight for 12 years during your career, then you have 40 years of partying

  6. Talib is somewhat of a turkey but in todays world you can get shot at going to the super market. Times have changed a lot of good but a lot bad too.

  7. Just waiting for his PR team to say that he was an innocent bystander and not part of the confrontation inside the club. You know it is coming.

  8. Hate Talib, Hate the Broncos, Hate the comments here.

None of us, and I mean absolutely freaking 0% of us will ever realize what it is like to be a professional athlete with a a target consistently on us.

These guys can’t trust women they meet, friends they’ve had for years, even their families often take advantage of these guys. People that don’t have what the athletes do try to take it, or bring them down.

Cast your aspersions as you’d like if it makes you feel like less of a piece of garbage, but its just jealousy. At least own it though.

Dude sucks for sure, don’t be a crappy human being too.

  9. Nobody disputed he was a Knucklehead in his short stint in New England. He was just afraid to get in trouble because his contract wasn’t guaranteed. It’s amazing what a guaranteed contract (Tampa and Denver) does to this guy.

  10. Imagine what it would like to coach this guy and point out his mistakes…..good luck

Own your lack of grammatical prowess.

  12. Three people were shot including Talib. These comments show just how dumb people can be. Victim blaming, really?

Hint: Trying to sound intelligent when you clearly aren’t makes you sound like an even bigger moron.

That said, wait until you hear Talib in the interview after this. His interviews are hilarious. He has a grasp of the english language that would be embarrassing to hear from a 1st grade student. That guy is so ghetto it’s beyond ghetto.

  14. Shocker! Like most have said. I wonder if he poked another dude in the eye?

This one single dude brings down the whole reputation of the entire Broncos organization. Yeah, I know, you don’t agree but it reflects poorly on the organization for holding on to a guy like this (despite is ability).

Talib is a good kid, I’m surprised this would happen to him of all people.

    ————————————————————

please look up his arrest history you wont be saying hes a good kid then. typical people live in the here and now and forget the past this guy is a trouble maker and if he wasnt in the NFL he probably wouldve been in a gang and commiting crimes daily

  16. This one single dude brings down the whole reputation of the entire Broncos organization

Ha! I think a variety of other reasons go into the bad reputation the broncos already have. And they are mostly self inflicted.

I honestly think there are more new broncos fans on here since they “won” that SB than there was when the 12’s first arrived in 2013.
