With the emergence of Kirk Cousins as a legitimate starting quarterback last season, the Washington Redskins offense posted its best season since 2012. Cousins passed for 4,166 yards with 29 touchdowns and 11 interceptions as Washington’s offense ranked 11th in the league in passing last year.

Washington added TCU’s Josh Doctson with their first round pick and signed tight end Vernon Davis in free agency to provide additional targets for Cousins in the passing game.

Jamison Crowder set a Redskins’ rookie record last year with 59 catches in 16 games for Washington. In an interview with Nick Ashooh and Tim Murray on ESPN 980, Crowder believes the additions to Washington’s receiver group makes them one of the league’s best.

“Yeah, yeah, we do. We think that, you know, we’re the best in the league,” Crowder said on 980 ESPN, via the Washington Post. “Knowing that we’ve got guys like [DeSean Jackson], Pierre Garcon, like you said, Jordan Reed, he had a great season last year. We even added Vernon Davis at the tight end, but he’s still another weapon that can really help us out in the passing game, and Niles Paul and myself, so we feel like we have a really talented group of receivers.”

“The coaches know that we have a really talented group, we know that we have a really talented group, and I really can’t wait to get out there and show the world how talented we are.”

If Cousins can have a repeat of last year’s performance the Redskins offense certainly has a chance to shine, whether his receivers and the best in the league or not.
