Johnny Manziel jerseys have gotten so cheap that even a quarterback with no job and no prospects can afford to buy one.
SportsBlog.com, via Darren Rovell of ESPN.com, has spotted a rack of Manziel jerseys at the if-it-gets-any-cheaper-we’d-have-to-pay-you-to-take-them price of $1.99.
They apparently aren’t the authentic models with the numbers and letters stitched on the jersey but the cheap (but not inexpensive) “replica” jerseys that will survive only so many wash cycles before the numbers start to flake away. Still, things don’t get much less costly these days than $1.99.
Manziel, for his part, should want to see his jerseys move. He still gets a piece of the action, and at this point that could be the only income he can expect to see.
