Pennsylvania Attorney General closes investigation against LeSean McCoy

The Pennsylvania Attorney General was asked by the state’s police union to take a second look into the bar fight incident that involved Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy after a Philadelphia district attorney declined to pursue charges in the case.

According to Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network, that secondary investigation by the state A.G. has reached the same conclusion as the city courts.

McCoy was allegedly involved in an altercation with three off-duty police officers at a Philadelphia bar in early February. He was investigated on assault charges by the Philadelphia District Attorney elected against pressing charges due to a lack of evidence in April.

At the behest of the police union, the state took its own look into the incident before reaching the same finding. The Attorney General sent letters to the police union and Philadelphia District Attorney informing them that the investigation is now closed.

  1. In short, they found out that their very own do no wrong police officers were the main instigators and saved face by closing the case.

  2. Sounds like it’s time for the police union to reimburse the taxpayers of the state of Pennsylvania for the second investigation that came to the same conclusion as the first investigation then.
Why is the police union even able to make such requests and why would the state grant them?
Obviously it goes without saying that if any other union made a similar request it wouldn’t be granted.

Why is the police union even allowed to make such requests and why would the state grant them? It goes without saying that if it were any other union the request would be denied.

  4. Sometimes a simple bar fight is just a simple bar fight and not the national emergency the millenials and PC crowd scream that it is.

  5. Why aren’t the Police being charged or investigated? They committed assault and battery. Oh, it’s because they have white skin and wear badges for a living.

  6. I once had a run in with a cop on duty. He was basically abusing his authority and trying to intimidate me into snitching on a neighbour for something I didn’t even see them allegedly do. Then he threatened me. I told him to “go back to the station, take off your badge, punch out, and then come back and settle this like a man”. He never came back. Most cops are power tripping abusive a-wholes.

  7. I said it in March – Tom Brady will serve a 4 game suspension this season and LeSean will serve none. GO BILLS!!!!

  8. Pretty clear in this instance that the police were the instigators or at least equally culpable in this “misunderstanding” over a bottle of expensive champagne. Let’s not forget what started the fight. Trite compared to what’s currently going on.
