Goodell: NFL moved on from Deflategate “quite a long time ago”

AP

Last week, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady announced he would give up his fight vs. the NFL and accept his four-game suspension for his role in the Deflategate saga.

Monday, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell didn’t have much in the way of parting words regarding the drawn out battle.

Goodell was attending the New York premiere of the Gleason Movie, and Bart Hubbuch of the New York Post asked Goodell for his reaction to Brady accepting his suspension.

We moved on from that as a league quite a long time ago,” Goodell said.

Brady will be able to participate in training camp and the preseason. His suspension will begin Sept. 3 and his first game back will be Oct. 9 at the Browns. He and the NFLPA can still carry on the fight, but it appears Brady wants to serve the suspension and then move on.

The Gleason Movie, a documentary on former Saints safety Steve Gleason and his fight with ALS, debuted earlier this year at the Sundance Film Festival. It will be released nationwide later this month.

  1. It’s understandable that Goodell wants the news cycle move on. The NFL is terrified of a boycott of sponsors whose commercials appear during the games Brady is suspended as several ardent fans have proposed. If such a boycott is announced (and the advertisers identified) I wonder if the owners will finally decide to become involved.

  2. Super Bowl week with all eyes watching,
the entire world thought N.E footballs were 2 PSI under-inflated and Colts footballs perfectly in range.

If NFL put out the starting and halftime PSI results of N.E AND Indy footballs the day after, it’s a completely different story.
Why didn’t the NFL do that [instead of lying about the numbers to media?]
    The answer is obvious.

    Best wishes to Mr. Gleason.

  3. If by a long time ago he means when he finally won, it wasn’t that long ago.

    Gotta love the Integribot.

  4. so they are taking the high road? Yet they were first into the manure pit. They allowed the Colts to cheat by allowing them to check the Pats game ball before handing it over to Walt A. Then it gets ommitted from the Goodell edited Wells report. Then they used the Colts cheating (they were not punished) to prove that there was more probably than not ball tampering by the Pats

  5. Unfortunately the delusional fans in the Boston area did not after Kraft accepted punishment for his organization, Patriots employees were suspended, Brady was judged guilty by the NFL (Wells report, etc.), a panel of three judges at 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals upheld, 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals denied the appeal. The only one who sort of backed Brady was Clinton nominated district court judge Richard M. Berman

  6. Funny that the NFL took the time to announce that but still hasn’t found the time to announce the PSI information that was collected during the 2015 season.

  7. Except for the fact that they never proved any unnatural deflation actually occurred and it it did then then Andrew Luck and the Colts must have also been guilty…..and yet they were never penalized.

If Goodell had a shred of character and integrity he would have admitted the evidence was non-existent, admitted he was wrong and recinded all penalties against the Patriots and Tom Brady.

  8. Just like i`ve moved on from spending a dime on a NFL product until that corrupt con man is out of office. And no i`m not a Patriots fan just a fan of a fair process and neutral arbitration. I`ll watch on free TV but the only way to effect change is to make it financial. Its the only thing the owners care about.

  9. Twenty-five million dollars in legal fees past it and counting. Get used to it Roger, its like an old injury. It gets better some better it will never go away.

  10. Why is there a suspension at all? Why are there draft picks taken? Why is there a $1M fine?

The NFL and Well$ report exonerated the Patriots so not sure about the draft picks and fine. Makes no sense.

The NFL, under oath, stated there was no evidence that Brady did anything. Science has shown time and again the balls PSI was right where it would be expected. In fact, it comes down to 0.2 PSI of difference. The Well$ report had many lie…er inaccuracies which were later proven to be false.

According to the rule book the worst that should have been imposed is a small fine.

So I just don’t get it.

  11. He attended a documentary about a NFL player that has ALS thanks to the pounding he took playing football. Mr Goodell I thought that there’s is no connection between football and CTE? Oh wait you don’t believe in science. Not for proving the fact that air pressure drops in the cold and more importantly that repeatedly getting hits to the head cause CTE. This guy is a disgrace.

  12. He’s a laughable putz and and embarrassment to the league. No one even knows what a catch or a tackle are anymore due to his “leadership.”
And the same jamokes who prior to were dumping all over him now suddenly view him as a bastion of credibility when he’s out there trying to railroad Brady.
    Schmucks.

  13. I would fully support any boycott of the games Brady will miss. No one who has followed this case closely thinks that anything actually happened (other than several NFL clowns not understanding that the pressure in balls decreases when they are cold.). History will not look kindly on Goodell.

  14. I was disappointed but could see Bradys reasoning as its better for the team if they know exactly what games he would miss because even with the stay, a SC acceptance was a long shot. But glad he gave the NFLPA permission to keep it going. After so many many NFL leaks and lies, its sad someone like Goodell who hates science almost as much as he hates honesty has so much power.

    ———————————————————

No. I believed him after Brady, McNally, and Jastremski all told lies to investigators. And not
even the Second Court judges buy Brady’s excuse for destroying his phone.

    Honest people don’t do that.

  16. “We moved on from that as a league quite a long time ago,” Goodell said.

Moved on from honesty, integrity and dignity. That much is true.

  17. Screw Brady and Patriot Nation. You were busted ,little Tommy is sitting and the other 31 teams have, indeed, moved on. Note to Patriot fans : stop, stop your crying and move on. Signed : the rest of us.

  18. I just have one question for the trolls: if the nfl says that the footballs were 2 psi under inflated, how much of the 2 psi is nature and how much is tom? After youve spewed your answer…just think about the tom portion and ask yourself, is that even possible to do accurately? I mean, just apply a little common sense, just for a second.

  19. Hey, fanboyarmy. Goodell and his 31 bosses won, Shady lost. All confirmed by the most prestigious appellate circuit court in the land. Get over it. Goodell is merely a tool for the owners and 31 of them got sick and tired by being continually cheated by one of their business partners. End of story.

  20. How can the haters take his word for anything? He’s a liar. And all the haters believe him because they can’t come to grips that the Pats are just a better organization than their own teams. The haters teams haven’t made the playoffs in 10-15 years? Must be that the other team is cheating, not their ownership being incompetent or their players sub-par, no, can’t be that. Need someone to blame for their failures.

  21. I think 95% of the people that haven’t moved on have commented here. It was the most popular shtick PFT has ever had, though. I guess that’s why Ballers was even being touted as Patriot victim material yesterday.

  22. Roger is a hero.
The Pats have been busted for cheating too many times. They do not get the benefit of the doubt. They are GUILTY.
    Tom Brady is GUILTY!
    Facts are facts.

A statue of Goodell should be erected in front of Gillette stadium

  23. “So I just don’t get it.”

  24. Ha, i know I’m not moving on with this injustice. My buddies and I talk about it daily. FIRE GOODELL. There’s no way I’m gonna stop complaining til the day the nfl apologizes for conspiring to take down brady. FREE BRADY.

  25. That’s nice Goodell, because the New England region hasn’t gotten over it & never will. More importantly, the players union feels the same way. That’s what happens when you use unlimited power to arbitrarily screw people over.

The French thought they moved on from “the Great War” by sticking it to the Germans with the Treaty of Versailles.

You think you’ve moved on. Just wait to till the next CBA. I know one part of the country that could give a damn if a season or two is lost, provided Goodell & his band of jealous owners gets their comeuppance.

  26. I’ve moved on too Roger…. unless I see you. If I see you I’m going to follow you around and make odd noises and faces and generally disrupt your meal or conversation or whatever you happen to be doing. I may also add sound effects.

  27. kingshmegland says:

  29. I love Roger Goodell, and NFL football has never been better. I love Tom Brady too. He’s one of the reasons NFL football has never been better. Brady’s wife is probably the number one super model of all time. He very badly wanted to be known as the number one QB of all time. Maybe he wanted it a little too bad. It’s understandable. Time to move on. The NFL has moved on.

  30. Greasy Roger is why I didn’t renew my NFL online package.
I’ll be damned if they’ll see another penny from me while Sleazy Roger is sacrificing the integrity of the league on the alter of his vanity.

  31. If Brady wasn’t already pretty close to last years of his career, I’d love to see him tell the league to shove it and sit out the entire year and go play in the CFL for 1 year..

  32. Well I proudly remain one of the whiners. It’s another example of the small man getting screwed. And has nothing to do with Brady being guilty. Just about lost most of my taste for football. Won’t be a lot I will be watching this year. My electronics hobby will say thank you.

You forgot the dissenting judge in the three panel decision from the 2nd Circuit. He sided with Brady as well.

  35. Seriously screw off Goddelll
You were poised on this from day 1. Nobody in your entire organization or offices does anything without your approval. You specifically leaked the 11/12 bit. Right before the super bowl. Kept everything in motion including the spin all offseason.
Instigated and announced the wells report. Announced the fine and suspension in March. Kept rigorously defending it into eternity all offseason. Posted articles about ‘dissapointed’ with the decision. The. Fought Brady all off season again. With no shortage of announcements.

Then you come saying you NEVER said anything to or about Ballers.

Tom shouldn’t have lied. Pats fan or not. Just tell the truth it may have been a fine.

But you are the worst Roger. I really want to be entertained and see Pats win so you either duck out of the SB or Tom snubs you on the handshake, and you know Bill will too.

Hate the Pats all of you want. They cheated. But Roger is NOT a good guy.

  36. Come on, that Patriots must have cheated! That is clear there is no other way to be so long on the top. At least no other team did it in salary cap era. So if 31 teams could not done what the Pats did it’s obvious they cheated.

So they have to be punished! There is no need of any firm evidence, than their long streak of success.

    Case closed.

  37. @nhpats
Actually the only person with less integrity than goodell in this whole mess is none other than Tammy Brady

  38. Except for the 20 million in legal fees this not-too-bright trust fund baby riding his daddy’s coattails spent. The NFL and Goodell were exposed and judge Berman’s Court one of the NFL’s Choosing by the way has liars and manipulators and incompetent. Judge Berman told them in open court you have no evidence. The Chief Justice at the appeal hearing also said that Goodell had far outstripped the CBA agreement Goodell is a clown and he needs a new doctor.

  39. Turtlebutt
Wrong again. Judge Berman told the NFL in court you have no evidence. He also expose them as Liars. That’s a little more than a sort of. In the appeals court the Chief Justice opposed the other two judges in a strongly-worded opinion that Goodell had exhibited bias and unfairness. That’s two out of four judges. Try getting a fact or twould straight before babbling

Sorry but everyone listened to crybabies make false claims stating that the Patriots taped another team’s walkthrough for almost 10 years. And that never happened. A camera was in the wrong spot for part of a GAME. Bill Belichick ignored a league memo.

So now the Patriots have actually been robbed of a 1st round draft pick. They will lose a 4th round pick next year. Tom Brady will miss 25% of the 2016 season. Those things will affect the roster, stats, and could potentially affect the standings for several years and ruins the integrity of the game.

All because the NFL didn’t understand that cold and wet naturally lowers the PSI in footballs. So Patriots fans and those that can understand the science are entitled to legitimately complain for at least 10 years.

  41. I’ve read all the reports and all the legal briefs and it’s gotten to the point where I just hate Goodell. I’m tired of him and his holier-than-thou attitude and while I know he’s really just fronting for the the owners, I’ve taken visceral dislike to him and now I just loathe everything about him. He should just go away. He’s ruined a good man’s reputation and he is ruining a good sport. He is an immoral elitist.

  42. Serial liar Goodell has turned the NFL into the most corrupt sports organization in history. Ruining the game I used to love.

I’ve also heard an 11 yr old boy proved that weather could do this lol- lets say its a fact then!!! HAHA. I dont think Goodell is terrible. How about you try to run a business where 32 owners actually are your boss. Have 3 employees (one of which is Kraft) be able to decide your salary and see how biased or unbiased you are. No matter who is in that seat, he is screwed. Goodell has helped his buddy kraft as long as he can and finally had to lay down the law. Goodell handled the Ray Rice thing poorly for sure! But its not an easy job and there will be mistakes. The fact is, when ur supposed to be governing ppl who have more power than you, your in a terrible spot.

  45. With fantasy football and the elite perfection of the game of football, it should always be a powerhouse.

    ……………………….

^ hey champ, the game of football runs itself more or less. He’s the auctioneer for tv networks. None of us are gonna stop playing fantasy football, and that’s the only reason he’s seeing growth

  48. Let’s see now……Patriots accused of having 11 out of 12 balls under the 12.5 psi. Later proven to be incorrect and that the information leaked to Mortensen was provided by the NFL. 160 days later the twitter posts remained up and the NFL retracted the 11 out of 12 balls statement.

Mortenson then claimed he didn’t know anything about twitter and couldn’t remove his post. Yeah ok Mort!

Turns out 6 balls 3 of the Patriots and 3 of the Colts footballs were less than 1 PSI under due to the natural gas law (Law of Physics for those of you who think it is a written law.)

The referee in charge for the AFC championship game can’t remember if he measured all the balls and which of the 2 gages he used. Either way… none of the measurements were recorded pregame. By the way, it then came out that the 2 Gages supplied by the NFL turned out not to have any calibration stickers.

NFL conducts their own investigation, concludes that Tom Brady was involved in the process of deflating the balls. Fines the team 1 Million Dollars, loss of 1st round pick and next year’s 4th round pick and suspends the QB 4 games.

NFL points out that the Patriots have led the league in lowest level of fumbles in the last 5 years. Suspicion is that it is related to the deflated balls.

Ok 2015 comes along. Patriots 12 win games and Tom Brady has one of his best seasons in 5 years. Oh yeah the Patriots led the league in lowest fumbles yet again.

NFL conducted testing of PIS in random games during the season. Patriots Psi is measured and data recorded. DATA ON ALL NFL TEAM FOOTBALLS MEASURED PSI IS NOT RELEASED!

Again I ask is there a reason the DATA isn’t being released and can any of the Patriot haters state clearly to me why the NFL would not release the data?

    Truly is mind boggling.

  49. Smug comment. Hey Roger can you move on from your ego?
Goodell actually believes the discipline clause was ” negogiated.”
The owners jammed it down the players throats, waiting until the
money portion of the CBA was finished at the last moment. When the
PA sought to discuss, the owners basically said take it or leave it.
The NFL PA is a very weak union with an average membership of less than 3 years. The players are not engaged and have only a short time to hopefully maximize their income.
Gone are the times when the ownership lead by people like Dan
Rooney would not leverage the union completely. Those owners had
some conscience. They actually would do what was best for all.
Roger thinks he is a genius by doing the obvious, that is leveraging
the PA who has no power. That still doesn’t make you a genius Roger.

  50. They last had a hearing on March 3 and Brady’s suspension was reinstated on April 26 … so if you want to assume that the NFL literally stopped all dealings with the case immediately after those dates, then you could argue they moved on about three months ago. But of course that’s not realistic by any stretch of the imagination. You can believe whatever you want about the Patriots, but the fact that anyone would still believe anything that comes out of Goodell’s mouth is insane.

I’m pretty sure the court did exonerate Brady by Berman’s decision. He looked at the facts, the Wells Report, the statement by the NFL that they had no proof.

Seriously, did I miss that report?

    _________________________________________

Now that the dust has settled, there are essentially two groups of people:

Those that are uninformed, headline-only readers who made up their decision of guilt on Day 1. They believe out-of-context, circumstantial evidence trumps actual scientific evidence. Some in this crew actually deny the IGL exists, but refuse to answer why the Colts balls were also underinflated if that were the case. They believe everything the NFL has told them, even though Goodell/NFL have been the only ones during this entire ordeal who have been proven liars. They think the court decision actually proved Brady’s guilt, although fail to mention 2 judges have sided with Brady and recognize this farce for what it is while also having the NFL admit in court that they have no evidence. They align themselves with the likes of Bart Hubbuch, Gregg Doyle, Bob Kravitz, Bill Nye the Science Guy, Ted Wells, Exponet, Ray Lewis, Stephen A. Smith, etc. etc.

The other group are those that have actually read everything….from the Wells Report to the court opinions. They realize this was a witch hunt from day 1 and to this day, the NFL still does not have any evidence of manual deflation of the footballs. They understand that science trumps the ridiculous circumstantial evidence. They also understand that the cell phone destruction is a red herring, given Brady had already told the investigations he was not giving up his phone and then provided all the required information at the initial appeal once he found out he was suspended for not doing so. They realize there was nothing left in terms of “evidence” since the NFL already had all the other phones, etc. They realize its nearly impossible for one fat guy to deflate 12 footballs in 90 seconds when multiple NFL officials couldn’t measure the PSI in 24 footballs over a 15 minute span. They align themselves with the likes of Florio, Peter King, Dan Wetzel, Joe Posnanski, Michael McCann, Dan Wallach, Steph Stradley, numerous scientists/professors throughout the country, Mike Lupika, etc. etc.

I don’t know about you, but I’m glad to be a part of the second group.

  63. Although I’m not a Pats fan, I am a fan of honesty, integrity and owning up to your mistakes. All of that makes me the polar opposite of Goodell. I will join the thousands of others and will not sign up for the NFL package or otherwise not drop a cent on the NFL as long as that buffoon is employed by the NFL.

  64. Just another statement of Roger’s that makes me wonder about his capacity to lead the NFL.

    1st: Ray Rice,

    2nd: Brady.

3rd: His behavior at the draft,

The referee in charge for the AFC championship game can’t remember if he measured all the balls and which of the 2 gages he used.
    _____________________________________

Actually he did. He said he used the one that gave the the reading that supported the Patriots. The NFL said that he was wrong in this case, but took his word for everything else. In his long career that was the first game the balls ever were moved out of his sight???? Some how I doubt that too.

  71. The main thing the legal part of this whole debacle revealed is that the court system can kind of rule however they want. The fact that the first judge ruled in favor of Brady with supporting evidence and the appeals court were able to completely ignore the original judges ruling and re-rule on the case was shocking to me. I didn’t think an appeals court could do that. Also, it was shocking to me that one of the 3 judges was diametrically opposed to the other two on the appellate panel and it’s just 2 against 1 and the ruling stands.

I happen to be a Patriots fan, but even if it went the completely opposite way and Brady’s suspension had been enforced by the original judge and removed by the appellate court I would have been shocked.

I really thought the original judge’s ruling had to be considered and respected. They just ignored it all together and even cut off any chance of it going back to the original judge.

I hate to break it to you y’all – the Pats threaten the integrity of the game. The constant skirting of the rules is problematic.

perhaps you can then explain why Harbaugh then uses the same tactics as Belichick, such as ineligible receivers, or should i say tries to use.

he copies almost everything he can once he realizes it was a good idea.

WRONG! I am in no way a Patriot fan and i`ve stopped spending any money on a NFL product because of this case.
It`s no different than what happened to the Saints and your favorite team could be next because Goodell is corrupt. Just like the Olympics and FIFA.Too much power corrupts. Nobody should decide if a crime was committed, the punishment and the appeal. If you were facing such a unfair process over something you were accused of you would feel different but it`s easy to just be a hater instead of thinking things all the way through.

  78. Roger “Genius” Goodell caused the NFL to be compared to Big Tobacco in the NY Times, is consistently booed by the entire live audience at the draft on national television, has repeatedly blown investigations into imaginary cheating even as obvious suspects like Peyton Manning and Jerry “Sticky” Rice enjoy the sunsets, and will undoubtedly bury the league’s never disclosed psi measurements next to Jimmy Hoffa. Anyone who likes him just hasn’t had him target their team – yet.

Once again for those Boston ppl with well below average IQ’s, there is NO scientific evidence either way. Not once bit of FACT. Just a scientist that says “yes weather can do this” and another one who says “no weather cannot do it”.
    ————————

The problem is that the NFL ignored any science, and refused to accept that the footballs were likely not deflated by anyone.

They immediately lied to the press, and to the Patriots, about the PSI levels of the footballs, and to this day have not recanted those lies.

I must have missed it. Where is the investigation into the Colts. Wasn’t the NFL supposed to be investigating their manipulation of the injury report? That was just last season, right? Can someone help me out. If deflating footballs is destructive of the integrity of the game, surely manipulating the injury report is also detrimental to that same integrity. Seriously, did I miss that report?
    _________________________________________
I asked the same question yesterday and my post was deleted, but I’ll try again. Adding to what you’ve asked: If 3 out of 4 Colts balls gauged were below the NFL minimum of 12.5, (and it’s a published FACT that Luck likes his footballs at 13 PSI), why weren’t the Colts fined $1M, Luck suspended for 4 games, and have two draft picks taken away?

  81. Cardinals fan here….and if the Cards can’t win it all this year, my 2nd hope is that Goodell has to get up on the stage with a miserable smirk on his face as he hands the Lombardi trophy to a smiling Tom Brady and Robert Kraft.

  82. Speaking of evidence, where is the evidence that the inflation level of a football gives a player or a team team a competitive advantage?

I find it hard to believe that Aaron Rodgers would deliberately handicap his team when he has the ball over-inflated to his liking.

I mean, the 12.5PSI-13.5PSI range isn’t anything other than the recommended inflation level that Wilson put on the box and on the footballs.

The “scientific facts” prove that the balls were artificially deflated. Read up a bit instead of depending on youtube videos by Boston area “professors

    ——-

    care to provide your ‘logic’?

the simple fact is nobody can prove anything, except for the fact that the assumptions made by Wells/Exponent do not justify the conclusions – those assumptions do not prove any tampering occurred.

Exponent used an outdoor temperature measurement (per Wells’ direction) that was taken at the weather station atop the lighthouse at Gillette Stadium. That is not field temperature, and it certainly was not wet-ball temperature. It is possible that the precipitation was colder than the air (we had hail here a couple days ago while it was over 90 degrees). So without knowing the temperature of the wet balls, nothing is conclusive.

Sure they speculated that the ball temp would have been the same temp as at the top of the lighthouse, but speculative data gives speculative results.

That is the foundation here…..and it is a very weak foundation.

  88. Well there are several truthful things you can say about Goodell. As the title of this article confirms, one of them is that he is a liar. No need to say more.

    2. SpyGate: destroyed video tapes – Taped from the wrong area on the field, you probably think it was more than that. The tapes were shown at Goodells presser. Jay Glazer has them, look it up

    3. SnowPlowGate: 1982 spot plowed for NE winning fieldgoal – Hahaha Funny, no days they just blow the snow off with leaf blowers. This one is a joke

    4. HeadsetGate: scrambling communication signals – Yup keep digging, happens in every stadium. It also rains in Gillette, I’m sure the Pats made that happen as well

    5. DeceptionGate: Illegal formations – Come on dude, sour apples, First of all the plays were legal so I’ll just leave it there

    A. Brady was told by Ted Wells that he, (Wells), didn’t want the phone only the relevant text, emails, calls, etc. Brady provided those at his “appeal hearing.”

    2. SpyGate: destroyed video tapes – sorry Jets nation

    B. The NFL destroyed those video tapes AFTER they were run on screens during the press conference about the violation of a MEMO… Those same tapes that Jay Glazer still HAS…Easy to look that one up!

    3. SnowPlowGate: 1982 spot plowed for NE winning fieldgoal – sorry Dolphins nation

    C. Don Shula was offered the same courtesy and turned it down! Also very easy to look up!

    4. HeadsetGate: scrambling communication signals – sorry Steelers nation

    D. The NFL took responsibility immediately after the game and said that the communications gear was their, (NFL’s), responsibility. The NFL said the problem was caused by the weather…It rained all day and night in New England!

    5. DeceptionGate: Illegal formations – sorry Ravens nation

    E. Not illegal at all. Same play was run by a couple of college teams, (Alabama comes to mind), earlier in the college season.
If it was illegal why did the Referee announce not once but twice that 34 was ineligible , “do not cover 34.”
Everyone in the stadium heard it over the PA, and all of the viewers at home heard it over the network broadcast.
    Also easy to look up!

See what you can accomplish when you do a little research rather than believe what’s spewed out by the NFL, ESPN, etc.

Your right! You don`t know what is. People like you are why the media is out of control. There are so many sheep like you that believe whatever the first media report out says and you hang onto it like it`s fact even after the truth starts coming out. Grow up and look at both sides equally and you`ll see a whole lot of things the media is wrong about.

  93. Maybe the NFL should take some time show some integrity by making the PSI information that was collected during the 2015 season public.

A team was already deprived of a 1st round draft pick and their starting QB is being made to miss 25% of the regular season. That affects the league since 4 opponents get to play against the backup and the rest have to play against Brady.

The NFL needs to release that information prior to the start of the 2016 season or the integrity of the league is forever tainted.

  94. In response to the COMPLETLY FALSE rant by Surf Bandits Jul 19, 2016 2:43 PM
    ——————————————————————-

    1. DeflateGate —– An extremely wealthy person wants the latest smart phone and can afford one. He wipes the data off the old phone, which is what intelligent people do. The NFL was never going to receive his personal telephone. The NFL had no right to examine a personal telephone.

Some must think that NFL is a law enforcement agency that could have demanded his phone if it wasn’t “destroyed”. Some must also believe that in America people have to surrender their privacy rights and prove their innocence to someone accusing them of something. The NFL used the national media to market the sensational word “destroyed” so gullible people were duped.

    2. SpyGate —– Almost 10 years ago the Patriots had a camera in the wrong location for a portion of a game against the Jets. They were punished for it and the matter was considered closed the time, although it is still mentioned from time to time by crybabies.

The film from that game was destroyed by the NFL, not by the Patriots, so that no teams, including The Patriots could ever benefit by watching it. Would it have been fair to the team that was filmed to give the other 31 teams a copy? The NFL destroying the film also ensured if The Patriots kept an undisclosed copy they would have risked having Roger Goodell over punishing them again.

    3. SnowPlowGate 1982 —– There was no rule against snow plows at the time. The worker was sitting there with the snow plow running to clear snow off yard markers during the game where it was snowing. The other team was stupid and called a time out to try to ice the kicker. The kick was good. No cheating.

    4. HeadsetGate —– Never happened – the NFL came out right after the initial false story flooded the media. The false story was later corrected but dupes never seem to hear corrected news.

    5. DeceptionGate —– 100% legal formations that confused the Ravens head coach because he didn’t understand the rule book. Brady called him out publically. That head coach levied a disproportionate amount of revenge when he supported the NFL’s deflategate lie.

  95. With Goodell, if he’s awake, he’s lying. If he’s asleep, he’s dreaming about lying. If he’s talking, he’s lying. If he’s not talking, he’s thinking about lying. If hes in the room he is lying. If he left the room, the stink of the lies stay behind. To sum up in four words:He is a liar.
