Veteran guard Amini Silatolu has visited with several teams since the start of free agency, but has yet to sign a contract for the 2016 season.
Chicago may wind up being his landing spot. Adam Caplan of ESPN reports that Silatolu is scheduled to visit with the Bears on Wednesday.
To get a contract, Silatolu will likely have to convince the Bears that he’s ready to go after tearing his ACL last November. It’s the second time that Silatolu has suffered a torn ACL during his Panthers career, which started as a second-round pick in 2012.
Silatolu played 34 games over four years with Carolina and started 28 times, with nine of the appearances and three of the starts coming before he was hurt last season. Silatolu has also visited with the Seahawks, 49ers, Chiefs and Cardinals.
