Bengals waive Corey Tindal a week after he was robbed at poker game

It hasn’t been a great month for cornerback Corey Tindal.

Tindal was the victim of a robbery during a poker game in West Virginia last week and also took two blows to the head from the barrel of the pistol brandished by the thief, who had previously been playing in the game. At the time, Tindal could look forward to going to training camp with the Bengals and earning a job and paycheck with the team that would help him recoup what he lost.

That’s no longer the case, however. The Bengals announced Wednesday that they have waived Tindal, who signed as an undrafted free agent earlier this offseason.

The move leaves the Bengals with eight cornerbacks on the roster and with an empty spot to fill before training camp opens.

  1. Keep tryin’ kid. That was blue-haired old ladies firing you. Make the coaches prove you can’t play.

Oh, and watch “Dark City” when you get the chance.

  2. “and also took two blows to the head from the barrel of the pistol brandished by the thief, who had previously been playing in the game.”

So Vontaze Burfict was “the other player”?

  3. He got the Hold ‘Em, Fold ‘Em part down.

But clearly NOT the when to walk away or run part.

  4. Maybe he is injured and has a concussion – is that why they are putting the screws to him?

  5. “Oh, and watch “Dark City” when you get the chance.”

Yikes, 24 thumbs down! You kids need a refresher course in Lizabeth Scott.

  6. Shocking that the Raiders didn’t offer up a slew of draft picks to trade for this guy.

  7. The guy couldn’t even wait to get on an NFL roster before starting to make bad choices. If you’re an undrafted free agent and making news like this off the field before you even get a roster spot, chances are that won’t be the last time you’re in the news for something like that. That’s fine if you’re a first rounder–not undrafted.
