Bills, Reggie Bush still talking

After reports emerged linking running back Reggie Bush to the Bills, Bush tapped the brakes. At some point, however, it looks like he’ll be dialing up Western New York on the GPS.

Per a source with knowledge of the situation, talks between Bush and the Bills continue. The Bills view Bush as a potential option at punt returner and as a replacement/clone of LeSean McCoy, if he needs a break or is injured.

The Bills need to be ready for the four-game suspension imposed recently on running back Karlos Williams. The real question is whether Bush fits after Williams returns from his looming exile.

With the flirtation between Bush and the Bills now an open book, if anyone else wants the No. 2 pick from the 2006 draft, time may be running out.

  1. I must say, Reggie Bush would be an upgrade a QB for the new england boston cheaters since their golden boy was suspended and rightfully so.

  2. So, basically the Bills are trying to figure out how much money they want to pay for a guy who will be on IR bye week 8

  3. If that comes to fruition, Bills will have, at different times, employed 5 of the top 10 picks from the 2006 Draft (Mario Williams, Reggie Bush, Vince Young, Donte Whitner, and Matt Leinart), including the top 3 picks.

Stupid comment. You know, it’s not all about the Pats, right?

  5. .
Bush and the Patriots met last season before he took the higher offer from the 49ers. One has to wonder how things would have worked out had he signed with New England.
    .

  6. Bush had a good career in the nfl but,,, beat up and has lost a step. not worth the money. give younger guys a chance. IR by week 6.

    Great observation.
Hindsight Houston was stuck in that 06 draft. No matter who they picked it wasn’t going to pan out as far as #1 overall picks go. (Mario Williams, Reggie Bush, Vince Young, Donte Whitner, and Matt Leinart)

Everything is about the Pats to this guy…. Then again, they did put and end to his team’s 1-year dynasty….

    ………………………………………………………………………………………….

I’d say they picked the best one out of that lot as far as career NFL production goes….such a hyped draft

  10. As a Bills fan, I think we’re trying to sign at least 10 RBs so we can put them all on the field at the same time. Let the defense figure out who is getting the ball on every play.

Donte whitner was not a top ten pick.

Donte Whitner was not a top ten talent. But he was a top ten pick (8th overall).
