Ankle to keep Nkemdiche out two weeks

Cardinals rookie defensive tackle Robert Nkemdiche will miss about two weeks with a high ankle sprain, Cardinals coach Bruce Arians told reporters Saturday.

The No. 29 overall pick last April, Nkemdiche has been a spectator since before the start of full training camp. He injured the ankle during a workout with other rookies and quarterbacks earlier this week.

One of the 2016 draft’s most talented and most talked about prospects, Nkemdiche figures to be an immediate contributor for the Cardinals assuming he gets healthy and up to speed.

  1. Lots and lots of risk being taken on by the Cards. Arians has perhaps the biggest ego of any coach in the game right now. He’s betting on himself and on Palmer.

He’s a good coach. But stuff like this is going to come back to bite them in the rear. Just look at Dallas….

  2. He’ll be OK as long as Honey Badger can keep him from falling off a balcony.

10-6, 2nd place NFC west, one and done in Wild Card round. 2015 was #peakcardinals
