The Bengals have activated wide receiver James Wright from the physically unable to perform list.
Wright hasn’t played since Nov. 2014, when he suffered a knee injury and later had microfracture surgery. He spent all of last season on injured reserve.
A seventh-round pick in 2104, Wright caught five passes in 11 games but was starting to earn more snaps and more trust from quarterback Andy Dalton before suffering the injury. If he can get back to full speed, he’ll compete for a roster spot and potentially playing time in a remade receiving corps.
