The Seahawks made a host of roster moves Thursday and are going forward with just one long snapper on the preseason roster.
The team waived Drew Ferris, leaving rookie Nolan Frese as the only long snapper on the roster. The Seahawks are hoping Frese can replace Clint Gresham, who held the job for six seasons before being released last spring.
Also Thursday, the team officially placed defensive end Chris Clemons on the reserve/retired list and signed two players, safety Keenan Lambert and running back Cameron Marshall.
Marshall, who previously spent some time with the Seahawks, fills an immediate need as the team practiced Thursday with four running backs sidelined by various injuries.
Lambert, the half-brother of Seahawks safety Kam Chancellor, is an undrafted rookie who also previously spent time with the team.
