The Bears have parted ways with a member of their 2016 draft class.

PFT has learned, via a league source, that the team will waive wide receiver Daniel Braverman on Saturday. Braverman was a seventh-round pick this April.

Braverman left Western Michigan early to enter this year’s draft after catching 108 passes for 1,367 yards and 13 touchdowns during his junior season. He earned some praise from coach John Fox early in training camp, but slid out of contention for a roster spot as a slot receiver after catching six passes for 40 yards during the preseason. Eddie Royal and Marc Mariani are likely choices for that role once the 53-man roster is set.

Those good early notices could be a good sign of his chances of a spot on the practice squad if he clears waivers.
