All 14 players drafted by the Browns in April made it through Saturday’s cuts and onto the team’s initial 53-man roster, but the team made five waiver claims on Sunday and that ended one draft pick’s stay on the active roster.

Cornerback Trey Caldwell, a fifth-round pick, was one of the five players dropped to make room for the new arrivals. Marcus Burley and Briean Boddy-Calhoun were two of those arrivals, so the Browns now have six corners heading into Week One.

The Browns also released veteran safety Rahim Moore. The former Bronco and Texan signed with Cleveland as a free agent this offseason and was benched after opening last season as a starter in Houston. Ibraheim Campbell, Jordan Poyer, Derrick Kindred and Don Jones remain on the depth chart.

The Browns waived linebacker Cam Johnson, running back Raheem Mostert and running back Terrell Watson to keep the roster at 53 players. They also announced that offensive lineman Dan France, tight end Connor Hamlett, wide receiver Darius Jennings and offensive lineman Kaleb Johnson have signed to the practice squad. With six spots still open, Caldwell and the non-Moore cuts could join them if they make it through waivers.
