Brock Osweiler did not look like an $18 million man on his first drive as the Houston Texans’ franchise quarterback.

Osweiler dropped back on Houston’s first possession and tried to get the ball to receiver DeAndre Hopkins, but Bears cornerback Tracy Porter jumped the route and intercepted Osweiler’s pass.

The Bears marched down the field and scored a touchdown after the interception, taking an early 7-0 lead.

The Texans signed Osweiler in free agency with the idea that he can finally end their quarterback woes. But Osweiler remains an inexperienced player who has only started half a season. He’ll need some time to grow.

Houston has to hope he doesn’t have too many more growing pains today against Chicago.
